The third Knightmare fanfiction story by Drassil (David), written in 2004.

Like its forerunners Enter, Leaper and I, Julius, The Endless Quest is a crossover fanfic, featuring characters and elements of the American sci-fi TV series Quantum Leap. The story is set at the time of Knightmare Series 4, and centres around Slash's owner Gundrada, whose "endless quest" is mentioned by Merlin during Series 4 itself (Quest 1). Although the story was inspired by Malefact jokingly suggesting that Sam leap into Gundrada, he in fact leaps into the Dunswater Boatman, whose true identity is eventually revealed.
